Aquarium Calculator Pro was founded with a simple mission: to take the guesswork out of aquarium planning and design. We provide hobbyists, aquascapers, and breeders with reliable, scientific tools to build safer, healthier aquatic ecosystems.
Our story.
As passionate aquarists, we noticed a common problem: critical aquarium calculations were scattered across outdated forums, using conflicting units and crude rules of thumb. Hobbyists were planning custom rimless glass tanks based on guesswork, or calculating stocking bioload using the flawed "one inch of fish per gallon" rule.
We created Aquarium Calculator Pro as a unified, modern platform. We replaced outdated formulas with precise physical and biological models, including the structural plate-bending equations for glass safety and a per-species bioload scoring system.

Our calculations are grounded in engineering and biology. We calculate glass thickness using mechanical engineering formulas for stress analysis, and stocking limits using biological factors like temperature compatibility and waste output.
Privacy by design.
Your aquarium designs are yours alone. All calculation processing is done entirely client-side in your browser. We do not store your data on servers, require sign-ups, or display intrusive ads.

We appreciate clean, highly functional design. Our workspace features a keyboard-friendly, dark-themed responsive layout with metric/US unit conversions and custom real-time 3D wireframe previews.

We believe that safety guidelines and setup planners should be open and accessible to all. The calculator is completely free to use, download-free, and optimized to run on any device.
